PRES SAYS - DECEMBER 2011

Well Ladies and Gents, another year over! It only seems like yesterday that I was writing a Pres Says for December 2010 and here we are in the last few days of 2011.

Membership keeps going from strength to strength we now have around 68 members.
Don’t forget our Subs are due in January and as mentioned at our concour and our last monthly meeting, due to increasing costs involved in running our club we have been forced to increase our subs.

Our new structure is as follows:
Subscription for Ordinary member $90.00
Subscription for Family member $100.00
Junior member $30.00
Entrance fee for Ordinary/Family member $25.00

During the year had many enjoyable outings together including the various RACV Rallies early in the year and the Phillip Island Classic and the British and European Car day at Flemington in March. We had 8 day trips which I believe is a record and I thank all of our members who took the time to organize them.

In October we held our inaugural "A Stately Affair" where we organized a run over to Mt Gambier and met with our fellow members from South Australia. With a contingent of 24 Astons and 48 people a very enjoyable weekend was had by all. By the end of the weekend we were already planning the next one.

Last month we held our concours at Rippon Lea Estate, finally, after 3 years we managed a fine day! We had a magnificent turn out of man and machine with 26 beautiful Aston Martins and about 70 beautiful people. Congratulations to our worthy winners,

On a personal note I would like to thank my fellow committee members, Richard, Jason, Chris, Barry and Tony for their support throughout the year.
